Vac-Con, Inc. of Green Cove Springs, Florida has developed a new cyclone separator assembly to further enhance the air flow characteristics of their venerable combination machine product line.
GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FL, March 3, 2011 – Called Hurricane, the new separator uses larger diameter inlets to increase the air flow from the debris tank to the blower. The separator itself has a larger circumference for improved material separation from the air stream; the larger “eye” of the Hurricane slows the air velocity so any particles may “fall out” into the hopper. The centrally located filter screen is removable for easy cleaning and/or replacement, but also includes a standard flush-out system for on-board cleaning. This filter assembly is also available with an optional bag assembly for trapping fines. The high capacity hopper is fitted with an extra large clean out and access door for easier and more thorough removal of material, and there is a blower inspection port to allow for easy visual inspection of the blower lobes.
Vac-Con continues to bring “More Power to You” with the strength of a Hurricane.

VAC•CON, LOCAL COMPANY, CELEBRATES 25 YEAR OF BUSINESS, AN AMERICAN SUCCESS STORY
GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FL, JANUARY 13, 2011 – It takes a lot to survive a year in the business world, much less 25 years. It’s apparent that Vac•Con, in Green Cove Springs, Florida, an industry leader in the building of combination sewer cleaning vacuum trucks has found the right combination to make it work. From 1986 and employing 5 people on day #1 to now, 2011, employing hundreds of people, having a worldwide network of dealers and nearly 6000 machines in service, Vac•Con is a true American success story.
The first sales person and, coincidently then and now, the president of Vac•Con, Mr. Darrell LeSage, drove the first truck and showed the country what Vac•Con had to offer. Vac•Con, 25 years later, is a multi-million dollar, employee owned, multinational company. What has made the team at Vac•Con so successful is its dedication to keeping the customer happy, giving the customer what he needs and doing whatever it takes to ensure that the customer has what he wants.
Darrell LeSage said, "In the beginning, there was no thought of 25 years. We thought if we could design a truck and build one or two by the end of 1986 we might survive a year. We have grown as a company 23 out of 25 years and have become a solid company with a solid future for all of our employees and their families. I am proud of all the employees over the years that contributed to that success."
Vac•Con is planning on celebrating the entire year because of this momentous occasion. There are several events planned to share in the excitement with our company stockholders (our employees) and the community. Big celebrations are going to take place in April and October with specific dates to follow.
